When it comes to embodying confidence, renowned pop star and humanitarian advocate has left an indelible impact. With a career that spans from being a part of the iconic 90s girl band to a domestic violence campaigner, she has continually inspired legions of women to stand up for themselves and unapologetically embrace their individuality.
Finding an ideal ambassador for the groundbreaking Own Your Confidence campaign by renowned lingerie brand came easy with her at the forefront. The campaign’s core message: every woman, irrespective of her shape or size, deserves to feel confident. Her relentless dedication to advocating this belief made her the campaign’s natural born leader.
Despite being in the best physical form, she confesses to wanting to work on her mental health before stepping back into the limelight. Unwilling to opt for a quick fix, she took time off her schedule to focus on achieving the right mindset, only to come back stronger, comfortable, and more confident on the other side.
Finding Herself Again
The journey to rebuilding her self-esteem began decades ago after parting ways with her former spouse. It was a painful realization for her to understand how much of her intrinsic confidence had been stripped away. But, she’s worked tirelessly over the past seven years to reclaim what was taken and to position herself to stand tall for a campaign of this magnitude.
The Transformation of Fitness Aesthetics
Once an enthusiast of vigorous cardio workouts, her fitness routine witnessed a significant change. Fearful initially of the very suggestion of weight training, she now confidently incorporates lifting heavy weights into her thrice a week training sessions. Besides reshaping her body, she finds solace and high spirits in weight training.
Complementing her weight training exercises, she also undertakes an intense Sunday workout, and the rest of the week she indulges in low-impact cardio routines such as dog walks, relaxed cycling sessions, and rejuvenating ice baths and saunas. She attests that workouts are as essential for her mental well-being as they are for her physical health.
Embarking on New Endeavors
As an active patron of Women’s Aid, a charitable organization for vulnerable women, Prima Donna, and her beautiful daughter Phoenix have been awarded for their contribution to the charity. Their involvement with Women’s Aid played an instrumental role in her decision to team up with the Own Your Confidence campaign’s lingerie brand.
Always affirming that an excellent fitting bra can boost one’s confidence and overall comfort, she expresses her desire to help women feel more empowered, confident, and inspired through this campaign.
And as PrimaDonna, she believes in caring for her body from the inside, maintaining a healthy diet and intricate fitness routine. This way, she reflects the very ethos of Pour Moi, the lingerie brand which designs its products keeping functionality and comfort at the core. Because, how could one not feel spectacular externally when you are nurturing your body with so much positivity and goodness internally?
